Ian Crawley secured his place as a Telford United legend by scoring the only goal in the F.A. Challenge Trophy final during extra time at Wembley on May 13th, 1989. He also scored four times on the road to Wembley, including both goals in the 2-0 home win over Kidderminster Harriers in the third round replay.
Telford United Supporters Trust is only too pleased to run this appeal in recognition of the enjoyment he brought to us all. All donations received will be passed to Ian and his family to support them through his illness. We have set up this "Buy an Image" scheme, whereby for each £1 you donate, we will display an image of your choice on this website, along with any message of support you may wish to leave. Ian joined Telford United from Kettering Town at the beginning of the 1988/1989 season, having previously had spells with Nuneaton Borough and VS Rugby. He remains a VS Rugby hero too, having scored their winning goal in the 1983 F.A. Vase final. |
